Woman who has reinvented herself too many times than she can count.

I've worked in fashion, hospitality, community, events and leadership. I've raised children, moved across Australia, built businesses, closed doors, opened others, followed instincts that made absolutely no logical sense - and learned, repeatedly, that the life meant for you - rarely arrives in a straight line.

For along time, I thought I needed to choose.
​
Choose the sensible thing.
Choose the successful thing.
Choose the version of myself that made the most sense to everybody else.
THIS IS MEG-NETIC
Meg-netic isn't a formula for becoming someone else.
It's what happens when you stop abandoning pieces of yourself to fit into one identity.
The spiritual and the practical.
the satin and the rubber boots.
The businesswoman and the intuitive.
The woman sitting quietly listening - and the one singing at full volume in the car.
All of her gets to exist.
That idea runs through everything I create.
Live Meg-netic - words and experiences about embodiment, identity and living as the woman you already are.
Independence Day - a private guided experience for women who know they cannot keep living the same way.
Meg-netic - clothing and objects created for women who refuse to dress, live or express themselves as only one thing.
The Burra Magazine - stores of people, place, history and the extraordinary hiding inside ordinary - looking lives.
And then there is Mogs' Cafe, in a little South Australian town called Burra - where somwhere between making coffees, listening to people, writing chapters and dreaming up whatever comes next, much of this has taken shape.
WHY BURRA?

I've lived in so many places across South Australia and into Western Australia.
​
And somehow, I ended up back in Burra.
​
A tiny town, in the Mid North of South Australia. A crossroads between Melbourne and Perth, Broken Hill and Adelaide. A place full of history, farmers, travellers, characters and stories.
​
So here I am.
In a cafe.
Writing stories.
Recording Audio.
Creating activations + experiences
Writing a book.
Designing things.
Collecting stories.
Building something I couldn’t have explained a few years ago.
​
Maybe that is the point.
Not everything needs to make sense before you begin.
Sometimes you follow the wisp.
And the life appears afterwards.

YOU DON’T HAVE TO BE ONE THING EITHER.
